Blogs are updated regularly. Sometime more than once per day and sometimes not for a week. This is just the nature of a blog. It’s because I (the writer/the blogger) sometimes feel about writing information and sometimes I don’t

There are tools to make the life of a reader (potentially you) easy. These tools are called RSS-Readers and they will inform you automatically whenever blogs you are interested in (the ones that you subscribed to) get an updated.

If you are using Firefox Sage is a good choice. You install it right into your browser with a single click and now you can start adding “feeds” - my blog is one source for such a feed. Just copy this URL (http://www.ruzee.com/blog/feed) and paste it as a need feed into Sage. The Sage documentation gives you help on how to do this.

If you are using Thunderbird as a mail reader you are done as well. It comes with a very nice and clean RSS-Reader already included. If you don’t use Thunderbird and do not have a mail tool - try Thunderbird. And if you do use a different mail tool you might still give Thunderbird a try and use it as RSS-Reader only

If you don’t use Firefox and Thunderbird is too heavy for you, a standalone tool may be your choice. For Windows FeedReader and SharpReader are worth a try - they are both lightweight, simple and free. On Mac NetNewsWire (recommended by Christoph, cheers mate!) comes in the flavor of a free light version. On Linux I recommend Akgreator (included in KDE) or Liferea (for Gnome) depending on the desktop environment you are using.
