Have you ever asked yourself where all the money goes that you have in your wallet? Hell, yes, you may somehow know – “I paid a Schnitzel and 6 beers” or “I bought a pair of shoes”. But what happened with your ex-note after that moment?
You may give EuroBillTracker.com a chance if you wanna find out – at least if you are in Europe or deal with Euro notes in some other country. You may register an account, input the numbers (IDs) of the notes you currently have and then check back later, if someone did the same as well – with the same note of course ;-).
There is a user high score and top 1 is a guy from the Netherlands who entered – hold your breath – 254,142 different notes in the last 2 years. I wonder if he’s working in a bank or something – or robbed some… I mean 254,142 with an average of 10 Euro/note that’s 2.5 million Euro running through the fingers of this guy – 1.25 million Euro/year “cash flow”. Guess he smells like money. Gals, you should definitely figure out who he is and meet him real life – or maybe it’s a she?

I just submitted a patch to the gnash mailing list that makes it work in 64 bit environments. It’s just a little patch, but the elvis “testsuite” 😉 shows up and runs till the end (see screenshot) on my Athlon X2 in native 64 bit mode. Now awaiting a working browser (=Firefox) plugin – and maybe I’ll do a little bit for that as well…
Oh, maybe I forgot to mention what gnash is: A GPL implementation of the Macromedia Flash Player (v7).

It is pretty simple to do a page with a fixed layout. Unless you are using Internet Explorer. This beast simply ignores every max-width, max-height, etc. that you specify in the CSS. But, there is a neat JavaScript lib that teaches IE the max-/min- settings: minmax.js by Andrew Clover. Hope it works for you – it seems to work for me.
I’ve tested it under Linux with Internet Explorer 6.0 using ies4linux which lets you run IE inside Wine.

From now on, this blog comes with a self made theme – the RusiTheme. Version 0.1 just came online. The CSS has been built completely from scratch. Thanks to John Godley from UrbanGiraffe for his great WordPress theme how-to. RusiTheme heavily uses anti-aliased Nifty Corners – thanks to Steven Wittens for this neat JavaScript lib. And maybe you noticed, that this theme looks kind of familiar – well, that’s on purpose, so you feel home at once: I’m using the colors from my old theme, Almost Spring by Rebecca Wei.
I hope you like it, feel free to help me debug my little breed ;-).

You should definitly once listen to NY Excuse by Soulwax. Unfortunately it’s not streamable from last.fm yet… Let’s just wait a little bit.
I bought an external hard drive for this server. USB 2.0, fast, external, lots of memory. But unfortunately incredibly loud (well, at least for my taste ;-)). Since it is only used sporadically for backup reasons, it is ok when it is only running “sometimes” – putting it into standby mode (i.e. spinning it down) after some time would be a perfect solution. hdparm isn’t working for USB storage devices – they use the Linux SCSI emulation layer. For SCSI, a equivalent exists (sdparm), but I simply couldn’t get that one running… That’s why I had to find another solution. Grab it here.
The king is dead – long live the king. Ok, 2005 is gone. What will 2006 bring to us? Of course the soccer world championship in Germany. But what else? Yahoo will buy Netvibes. Google will buy Technorati. Yahoo will … Continued
My brother just put the new rusitschka.de web site online. A real beauty :-). Check it out! [tags]rusitschka, homepage[/tags]
Wow, that thing is addicting. It’s on a japanese blog – but you’ll understand what to do once you’re there. Try to beat me: max chain 11 – yep, the screen shot isn’t a fake!!!
