The CSS of RusiTheme – my first, neat, little, and sweet WordPress theme – has been built completely from scratch. Thanks to John Godley from UrbanGiraffe for his great WordPress theme how-to. RusiTheme heavily uses anti-aliased Nifty Corners – thanks to Steven Wittens for this his JavaScript lib. And maybe you noticed, that this theme looks kind of familiar – well, that’s on purpose, so you feel home at once: I’m using the colors from my old theme, Almost Spring by Rebecca Wei.
Key features
- Round corners without images
- max-width hack for Internet Explorer – your layout won’t be broken on IE, no matter what your visitor does with his browser
- Optimized for low-bandwidth connections – perfect if you host your site at home via DSL (low bandwidth uplink) or you’ve got lots of visitors using plain old modems
- Comes with just one image for the RSS feeds (560 bytes in size)
Tested with
- Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1
- Firefox on Windows and Linux
- KDE 3.5 Konqueror
- Safari on MacOS (no round corners – happy about bug fixes!)
Changes 0.18 to 0.19
- Fix a bug in the RSS image on IE and Firefox – doh!
